Quality Debbie Bliss yarn
A number of distinctive qualities set fine yarns apart from lower-end products--the amount of natural materials, such as wool, in proportion to the amount of synthetics, such as acrylic; the hand, or feel, of the material; and whether or not the fibers are virgin or recycled. A quality product will give you many years of use and retain its beauty longer than lesser-quality products. When choosing a good yarn for your next project, however, the single most important factor, above everything else, is the yarn's suitability for the project for which it is intended.
The alpaca silk Debbie Bliss yarn we carry, for example, is great for winter sweaters. It is soft and warm, making it perfect for cold days, but at the same time, it is less than ideal for sleeveless summer sweaters. In the same way, the machine-washable Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino is wonderful for baby bonnets and blankets, but the kidsilk night and lurex shimmer Rowan yarn we offer is more suitable for a gauzy evening shawl when a bit of sparkle is desired.
