PRIVACY POLICY

User Information
We request information from the user on our order form. A user must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and billing information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, the information is used to contact the user. To ensure validity of the order and reduce fraud the users IP address is also captured at time of checkout, it is strictly used for order verification purposes.

Correcting/Updating/Personal Information
If a users personally identifiable information, (such as address,) changes, use the "your account" link at the top of any page to alter your information.

Registration
To place an order on this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user gives contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact the user about services on our site for which he has expressed interest.

We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Please contact Customer Support.

Third Parties
Customer lists are not sold or distributed to third parties.

Security
Hampton Knitting Yarn takes every precaution to protect our users information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information, (such as your credit card number,) that information is encrypted and is protected with the best and most often used encryption software in the industry - SSL (Secure Socket Layer). While on a secure page, such as during critical steps on our order form, you should see a lock icon somewhere on the web browser window frame, which becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just surfing. All of our users information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. RETURN/REFUND POLICY

Unopened Merchandise
Unopened merchandise may be returned within 60 days of receipt. Contact Customer Service regarding the reason for the return BEFORE returning merchandise.

Please contact us via e-mail to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number

Sale and Clearance Merchandise
Sale and clearance merchandise is final sale and non-returnable.

Merchandise Stock
Your satisfaction is very important to us. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you within one business day (by e-mail and by telephone) and give you an estimate as to when the item can be obtained. Most items can usually be replaced within three business days. If the item cannot be obtained in a satisfactory amount of time, you will be given you the option to cancel the item.

Refunds/Credits
A refund, or credit, for the cost of unopened merchandise will be issued when the merchandise is returned within 60 days of receipt. We will only refund the shipping cost if the return is due to an error made by us. Otherwise, the shipping cost will not be refunded.

Products Damaged or Shipped in Error
Products are free of damage and breakage when your order is shipped from our warehouses. Although Hampton Knitting Yarn products are packaged very carefully, damages may occur in transit. Hampton Knitting Yarn guarantee's to replace products broken or damaged in transit. All damaged items will need to be returned to us. We will not ship out the replacement items until we receive and inspect the damaged item(s) that are returned. Any items that are shipped in error will be exchanged or replaced at no cost the the customer.

SHIPPING POLICY

Tax for NY Residents
A New York sales tax of 8.625% will be applied to all taxable items within this site that are shipped to New York addresses. For counties that have a lower tax rate, the difference will be refunded.

Your order will usually ship the same business day or no later than 24 hours from the time your order is placed on our web site, except on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. If your order does not ship within 24 hours, customer service will notify you via email explaining the delay.

Hampton Knitting Yarn ships packages within the US via USPS Priority shipping. For International orders we try to provide options that the customer can choose from.

Shipping for US orders is calculated based on a flat rate up to your order totaling $100, thereafter shipping is free. This is based on the price of merchandise only and is not calculated by the inclusion of tax and/or shipping charges. For International orders over $150 (US dollars) we will give a $10 (US) discount on the shipping.

Faster shipping and other features such as Insurance are available and can be requested via the “Special Instructions” section of the Checkout process.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: Additional Customs, Brokerage and Courier Fees may apply. These fees vary by country and Hampton Knitting Yarn is not responsible for these fees. Also note that we cannot mark packages as "GIFT" as this is illegal.

PayPal Orders
For all orders paid with PayPal, your order will not be shipped until the funds have been transferred to our account. All refunds will be sent back to your PayPal account.
